About
Ramsport was established in 1985 by Rob Atkinson. Since it’s inception, the company has become noted for its quality, service and attention to even the smallest of details. Ramsport prepares and maintains rally cars for a wide variety of customers both in the UK and abroad.
Over the course of the past two decades Ramsport has forged an enviable reputation, which stems from the high standards and professionalism of company founder Rob Atkinson. Ramsport continues to set new standards for excellence in rally car preparation.
We are also able to offer full re-build facilities for all transmissions and sub-assemblies. From Clubman spec all the way up to WRC.
Ramsport can also supply a massive range of motor sport spares to suit most cars.
Throughout the 2009 season we have helped Dave Weston Jnr to a very credible 4th overall in the British Rally Championship and his first outright win, on the Malton Rally. All this was achieved in a ramsport prepared Subaru Impreza N14.
During 2010 we have looked after Dave Weston Jnr in his Subaru Impreza N2010 throughout the British Rally Championship, his fist foreign IRC rally in Belgium, another IRC Rally in Scotland and culminating with 3 WRC events in France, Spain and GB.
We also built an Hitoric Mk1 Escort RS1600 this year for one of our Norwegian customers, who used it to great success on his first event in it, winning the historic class by over 2 minute.
In 2011 we ventured into a new world for us, the world of Rallycross, using Suzuki Swifts we helped Ryan Weston to 2nd overall in the MSA British Junior Rallycross Championship and Mathew Thomas into 4th overall in the same championship. We also ran 2 Suzuki Swifts in the Senior Swift Rallycross championship for the second part of the year for Dave Weston and Derek Mitchell.
We are looking forward to 2012 now.
