Dave Weston and Dave Weston Jr enjoyed a double success, in their Ramsport run cars, on the recent Dukeries Rally. Dave Weston took overall victory in his Ford Focus 2005 WRC and Dave Weston Jr won the Group N class in his Subaru Impreza N12.

The Nottingham based event consisted of a compact loop of five stages in the Sherwood Forest complex, which would then be repeated in the afternoon to give competitors fourty-five stage miles spread over ten special stages.

Dave Weston, co-driven by Dave Robson, showed his intention right from the very start of the event. They won every stage of the rally, and were equal fastest on the tenth and final stage.

Dave Weston Jr, still adapting to a Group N, four wheel drive turbo car, made a steady climb up the leader-board during the course of the day and ended the rally an impressive ninth overall and first in the Group N class.

The cars will now be re-prepared ahead of further outings over the summer months.
