Vegard Joa and co-driver Phil Mills won the Historic class and ran as high as 14th overall among a variety of modern rally cars during the recent Rally Sokndal in Norway.
The duo drove the Ramsport built FIA specification Ford Escort BDA in the very demanding tarmac rally, which is characterised by fast narrow roads, and in conditions which changed throughout the day.
Vegard Joa said; ’The car was absolutely fantastic, to drive such a car is the best thing you could do with your clothes on. I have not driven a proper rally in 2 years, but I was right at it after just a few km’s, Ramsport has done a fantastic job, and the sound of the fuel injected BDA at 9500 is just something else.’
